The Rt Hon Baroness Jacqui Smith Minister for Skills
With the multi-year spending review due in mid-June and the Post-16 White Paper expected soon, these updates (along with the Government’s plans for the Growth and Skills Levy) are key topics in current sector discussions. As a result, we are delighted to welcome the Rt Hon Baroness Smith of Malvern, Minister of State (Minister for Skills) at the Department for Education, as a keynote speaker. Appointed in July 2024, Baroness Smith joins us at a pivotal time for the Skills system. From the British Army to the Olympic podium and beyond, she’s become a powerful voice on performance under pressure, inclusion, and unlocking potential – especially for those working to support others. Her keynote will explore how to build resilience, develop others and lead with purpose - setting the tone for two days of insight, action and connection.
