Join The King’s Trust to explore how flexible, partnership led approaches are creating meaningful pathways to employment for young people. This session will showcase our employability support for young people aged 16–30, highlighting how collaboration with independent training providers, employers and system partners can strengthen outcomes. Featuring current examples of partnership working, we will share practical insights on embedding employability, expanding work experience opportunities, and delivering tailored support for vulnerable groups through effective partnership working.

As the management apprenticeship funding landscape evolves, training providers must adapt to sustain growth. Led by Petra Wilton (CMI), the session opens with an update on funding changes and an overview of CMI’s new commercial offers – including the CMI Academy and Leading AI qualifications suite. A moderated panel featuring major corporate employers and training providers will explore the expanding commercial market for leadership and management development. Attendees will discover how employers are successfully filling the funding void by designing and purchasing high-quality, non-apprenticeship commercial programmes. Gain critical insights into market demand, employer procurement strategies, and actionable approaches to scaling your commercial offer post-apprenticeship.
Getting it Right from Day One: The transition into Apprenticeships for SEND learners

Join the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) to explore why the initial stage of transitioning SEND learners from school to Independent Training Providers (ITPs) is critical to preventing apprenticeship breakdown. Featuring expert insight and composite case studies, attendees will participate in roundtable activities to collaboratively blueprint optimum transitions. You will leave with practical, evidence-informed strategies and actionable solutions to strengthen early-stage onboarding, as well as secure long-term success for SEND apprentices from day one.
How to be work ready, in the age of AI, through a digitally empowered UK workforce

FutureDotNow launched a new report in May 2026, demonstrating that embedding essential digital and AI skills into employability programmes can almost double jobseekers’ chances of entering work, while delivering a highly replicable model that strengthens existing provision rather than creating new systems.
The report, ‘How to be work-read in the age of AI: A replicable model for digitally upskilling jobseekers’, sets out findings from a rapid proof of concept delivered in partnership with Cosmic and Accenture, and funded by the Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund.
Working with Restart Scheme participants in the South-West, the proof-of-concept explored whether targeted enhancements to current employability programmes could boost job readiness in a labour market where digital capability is now a baseline requirement.
